Marie Pettersen is an amazingly sweet girl, but once I got the Marilyn Monroe touch sizzling all over her – THE tiger came out of her. We did the shoot at one of Oslo’s most renowned hotels, Hotel Continental, just after midnight. It must have been dozens of people turning their heads after her, showering her with compliments. It was really grateful styling Marie, as Marilyn Monroe is one of her biggerst role models.

Looking at the results of this shoot – I find Marie Monroe absolutely stunning!

Creating this look now is absolutely in this time. Just look at all the fashion covers this month, and the fashion stores are so 50s these days. It’s feminine, sexy and alluring. Bringing style icons like Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and Sophia Lauren back to us… representing an era I wish I personally could have experienced. The fifthies was the first decade when wings on the liner was applyed, and the lips were full, full, full. The beauty spot were so, so sexy. Applying the liner on the outside of the eye area can give your model a “long” and old loook if not applyed correctly – make sure to pull it upwards but not so far up it looks as if you’re going out fishing. A good idea is to draw the line with a kohl before applying the wetliner. Draw the lips full with a lipliner, just make sure you don’t draw restylane monster lips… Study pictures from the fifties before applying this makeup.
